In 2015 and 2016 I helped to redevelop EBM's flyers and brochures across a range of brands and divisions. This tied in to a brand change from EBM Insurance Brokers to EBM, and were designed to represent a business that is professional and qualified in all areas of insurance.
This branding change is slowly being rolled out across all divisions and products.
To date, EBM's display banners were featured black text on a white background with a big logo taking up most of the space. I wanted to create a suite of banners that would draw attention and engage passers-by. The speech bubble symbolises EBM speaking directly to the viewer, extending a hand in partnership.
Kopernik is a non-profit organisation who connect simple technologies such as solar lighting and water filters, with last mile communities to reduce poverty.
Kopernik asked me to design their 2014 Annual Report website, which would also be produced as a downloadable PDF. The breadth of Kopernik's work means that there was a vast amount of content required to be included in the annual report. The challenge was to present this content in simplistic way. Together with their web developer, I produced a single-page scrolling website with full-screen images and statistics broken up into easy-to-digest sections.

A series of brochures outlining various LINI projects, from Mariculture and Coral Restoration to their work in Fisheries Improvement and Education.
The bi-fold brochures are designed to be a one-stop-shop for industry and non-industry contacts to find out more about the project history, timeline, key steps and issues and future plans. This also allows investors to see where their support may be of most value.
RentCover Service Superheroes was the theme of our stand at many conferences in 2016, highlighting the RentCover team's strengths in providing quality service to clients.

I worked with ZSL’s London team on the launch materials for their Sustainable Palm Oil Transparency Toolkit. The team had some very specific ideas they wanted to put across within the confines of the ZSL branding guidelines. We worked together to create a range of products for launch at events in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

TEDx was created to help local and marginalised communities contribute to the TED platform, spark communication and create connections. The events all focus around a core message: Ideas Worth Spreading.
In 2016 TEDxDili, held in the capital of Timor-Leste, was centred around the theme of Movement. I worked in a volunteer capacity with the core TedXDili team in Timor-Leste to help produce pre-event marketing and material for the event.
This included designing:
- a 12 page event program
- nametags for all speakers and participants
- a standing banner for sponsors
- a movie poster for event promotion
- two smaller posters for ticket sales and speaker promotion
I also provided support to the TedXDili team leader with design advice and support where required.
Following the development of a style guide for Bali-based NGO, LINI, a corporate brochure was created to be used in an electronic environment (as PDF or powerpoint slideshow).
The primary goal was to ensure the document was concise, clear and simple. All excess text was removed and the brochure is now suitable to provide to philanthropists and interested parties who do not have a marine science background.
Over the last 30 years, Indonesia has become a hotspot for the global marine ornamental fish collection and trade, with the industry providing an important source of income for thousands of coastal communities.
Indonesia exports an average of 80 species of hard corals, and more than 280 species of ornamental reef fish, involving over 50 companies and contributing an average of 70% to the global market. Unfortunately, almost 99% of all marine aquariums for trade still come from wild collection. As with other fisheries in Indonesia, effective reef fisheries management policies are currently lacking, and there is presently no local or national legal framework exists to support or regulate ornamental fish collection and trade.
LINI work directly with fishing groups to implement unique mariculture and aquaculture programs, ensuring reef fish are reared or collected using sustainable and legal methods. This banner allows them to explain the process to investors, exporters and key industry contacts and provides a visual reference for the fishermen.
Based in a beautiful location on the coast of North Bali, the LINI Les Aquaculture Training Centre opened in late 2015. This banner is used by the local fishermen to explain the ethos behind the centre and promote the activites of the centre to investors and philanthropists.
Today, about 75% of the world’s coral reefs are threatened by unsustainable fishing practices, pollution and sedimentation from coastal development, and coral bleaching linked to climate change events.
Scientists estimate that 70% of the world’s coral reefs will be destroyed by the year 2050.
Recognising the health of Indonesia’s reefs is crucial for the survival of coastal communities who depend on natural resources for their livelihoods.
This infographic banner was designed to educate key industry contacts, tourism managers and the general public about the process LINI undertake when restoring marine habitats. It shows the depth and breadth of the problem at hand and provides a step-by-step process, outlining the substantial work the team put into ensuring the artificial reef they deploy is successful.
Superfit is a Brisbane-based personal training and boot camp provider, specialising in a rare combination of fast results and fun.
